Dave Bing not seeking a new term as mayor of Detroit, nor should he

So today Detroit Mayor Dave Bing announced that he will not be seeking a second term after all. Smart decision. Slavery was abolished in Brazil on this date in 1888. Brazil was the last country in the Western world to abolish slavery.
