Today in Black History: June 28th

David Walker, abolitionist and author, died on this date in 1830. His famous essay, Walker’s Appeal to the Colored People of the World, denounced slavery and called for Blacks to mobilize and rise up against it. His work brought attention to the abuses and inequities of slavery and the role of individuals to act responsibly
