Today in Black History: Wyomia Tyus

Wyomia Tyus, track legend, was born in Griffin, GA, on this date in 1945. Tyus was inducted into U.S. Track and Field Hall of Fame (1976), the Black Athletes Hall of Fame (1978), and the National Track and Field Hall of Fame (1980). She won three Gold Medals in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico
